PEARL Link Fills Gaps in Square D's Electrical Supply Chain While Saving the Environment August 2010 Also available in PDF format.
PORTLAND, August 15, 2010 - A Square D service center is just one of hundreds of companies that have located obsolete, hard-to-find, and reconditioned electrical service equipment through the PEARL Link feature at www.PEARL1.org.
The PEARL Link is a web-based search form that allows buyers and sellers of used electrical equipment to send a query to all full-voting members of the Professional Electrical Apparatus Recyclers League (PEARL) by filling out a short, eight-line form.
"In recent years, original equipment manufacturers, such as Square D, have publicly cautioned the electrical marketplace against buying aftermarket equipment, referring to the aftermarket as the 'gray market'," says Brian Corekin, PEARL President, and President of Monster Fuses and Monster Controls (Portland, OR). "I'm just glad we, as a PEARL member company, could help Square D with Need It Now Electrical Supplies. At PEARL, we call it our NINES service because of our deep inventory of electrical equipment and the safety inherent to equipment that has been individually tested and reconditioned to PEARL's industry standard."
After completing the project, Square D service shop representative, Doyle Bush, wrote, "I wanted to thank you for the Klockner Moeller buckets. They were in excellent condition with all of the parts included. We will definitely contact you in the future if we have a need. Could you provide a list of what you would normally carry or have access to?"
Since launching PEARL Link in November 2009, PEARL members have received more than 200 buy-sell requests through the online form. Use this link to access The PEARL Link.
