Technical Committee Report January 2010
PEARL's Technical Committee has been "pedal to the metal" for months now. Here are a few of our accomplishments.
We recently published Revision 5 of PEARL's Technical Standards, which are now on the PEARL website. The Committee also recently finished updating Revision 3 of the PEARL Inspect & Test Standards. I&T Standards should be published on the PEARL website for the first time sometime within the next month after we finalize some introductory text for the website that explains the differences between PEARL's Reconditioning and Inspect and Test Standards.
PEARL's Technical Committee is also working on some "special" research projects with the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), a leading research center on sustainability and remanufacturing. Look for more news on this project in April at PEARL's annual conference in Denver.
The Technical Committee would also like to thank Association Manager, Mark Stone, for improving the committee teleconference procedures, including member announcements and minutes. More members than ever are participating in our monthly meetings, and PEARL is benefiting from your valuable experience and advice.
Here's too better business in 2010 for PEARL and its Members!
